PUBLIC EXPENDITURE ON WEDDING
(Rec. 7 p.m.) LONDON, October 28. The cost of the Royal wedding to the public funds would be £4500, said the Chancellor of the Exchequer (Dr. Dalton), answering a question in the House of Commons. This would be for decorations in Whitehall and outside Buckingham Palace. All other expenses would be met from the King’s civil list.
