CATCHMENT BOARD
CONTEST FOR CITY SEATS Two independents have been nominated for Christchurch City seats on the North Canterbury Catchment Board. The four seats are at present held by representatives of the Citizens’ Association. Nominations are:— Christchurch City (four vacancies). — Anderson, Hugh Boscawen (C.); Colechin, Jesse Edward (I.); Jobbems, George (C.); Machin, William (CJ; Mason, David Alexander (L.); McCaskill, Lancelot William (C.); Power, John Gordon (L.); Shankland, James (L.); Smith, Arthur John (L.): Whiley, Fred (I.). Waimairi an<J Papanui Counties (one vacancy).—Alley, Philip John: Green. John W.; McArthur. William Francis. Rangiora and Eyre Counties.—Bower, Marmaduke Spencer.
