This morning, however, the Electra will leave * Milson aerodrome, Palmerston North, at 10.30 a.m., and is expected at Harewood about midday to take the passengers who would normally travel by the Lodestar leaving at 9.20 a.m. From Palmerston North the passengers for Wellington will be transported by bus. All other services from Christchurch will operate, but they will be delayed because of the extra time taken to fly to Milson.

Because of ground water and poor weather, traffic at Paraparaumu yesterday morning was confined to one landing strip, which was used for the Cook Strait services. Other aircraft on services’ 1 from the South Island used Ohakea from the morning onwards, and schedules were delayed as a result. In the afternoon Paraparaumu was closed because of low cloud, and the. Cook Strait services were abandoned. Aircraft operated normally from Harewood during the day.
