YESTERDAY IN THE HOUSE
(From Our Parliamentary Reporter.) WELLINGTON, October 7. The House of Representatives, resuming after a week, began to-day with the biggest list of questions from members since the session began. Estimates of departmental expenditure were discussed for the remainder of the day. Among the subjects discussed were the work of the War Assets Realisation Board, the many activities of the Secretary of the Treasury (Mr B. C. Ash win), and the Mareo case. The new Government member for Mount Albert (Mr W. Freer) was sworn in to-day. Instead of questions and answers the House to-morrow afternoon will discuss the report of the Licensing Commission. The Control of Prices Bill will be debated in the evening.
