NEW MEMBERS OF THE UNITED NATIONS.—The Dominion of Pakistan and the Kingdom of Yemen were admitted to membership of the United Nations by the General Assembly on September 30. In this photograph Sir Chandhri Zafrullah Khan, of Pakistan (second from left), and Prince Abdullah of Yemen (right) are seen signing the admittance papers for their respective countries. With them are Mr Trygve Lie (left), Secretary-General of the United Nations, and Dr. Hanna Saba, of the United Nations legal department, who acted as witnesses.
