N.Z. SNOOKER TOURNAMENT
J. MUNRO (CANTERBURY) BEATEN (PA) DUNEDIN. October 6. The feature of the first day’s play in the New Zealand amateur snooker championship was the defeat of the titleholder, J. Munro (Canterbury) by P. Sincock (Otago). To-day’s results were:—T. Tesberg (Waimate) beat J McLaughlin (Mosgiel). 3-2; W. Smith (Canterbury) beat W. Donaldson (Otago), 3-0; A. Rudduck (Otago) won by default from F Anson (Canterbury).- A. Drydon (Canterbury) beat L. (Wellington). 3-2; P Sincock (Otago) beat J. Munro (Canterbury), 3-2; L. Napper (Otago) beat T. George (Canterbury), 3-0.
