ELECTION TO BE HELD IN DENMARK
GOVERNMENT DEFEATED ON SCHLESWIG ISSUE ■ COPENHAGEN, October S. Mr Knud Kristensen’s Agrarian Government was defeated by 88 votes to 66 on a no-confidence resolution expressing disapproval of its policy on the South Schleswig question. Elections will be held on October 30. The Cabinet and the lower chamber will remain in existence pending the elections: The question on which -the Government fell is whether the inhabitant® of South Schleswig, which formerly was part of Denmark, should vote by a specially organised plebiscite or vote of their own accord on whether'to return to Danish rule.
Bus Falls into Ravine.— Eight were killed and 11 were seriously injured when a bus carrying 20 pilgrims visiting the sanctuary of Monte Vergine plunged into a ravine 350 ft deep near Amalfi.—Naples, October &
