TIMBER ADRIFT FROM SHIP
NAVIGATION WARNING ISSUED (P.A.) AUCKLAND, October 5. Two heavy 38ft lengths of Oregon timber, part of the launching cradle of the motor-vessel Coromel, came adrift when the vessel was being towed from Auckland to Coromandel py the motor-vessel Maretana on. Saturday. The timber was lost as the vessel was passing Motuihi, and a warning to shipping was subsequently issued by the Marine Department, which stated that the cradle constituted a danger to navigation.
