CANTERBURY GUN DOG CLUB
Trials, including the club championship and puppy challenge stakes, were held by the Canterbury Gun Dog Club at the Styx bridge, Brooklands. The judges for the day were Messrs C. J. Sowden, classes 1 and 4; and J. Stanton, classes 2 and 3. Placings were as follows: Club Championship.—Mrs Gates’ yellow Labrador Cashmere Roy, 165 points, 1; R. Vance’s yellow Labrador Champion Te Kauhama Corn, 160 points, 2. ’ Limit Class Water.—A. C. Meyer’s English springer spaniel Millvale Foam, 88 {ioints" 1; D. McAlpine’s Labrador Highand Laddie, 82, 2; W. D. Horsley’s yellow Labrador Cashmere Badgerie Rolf, 80, 3. Novice Class Confined.—W. D. Horsley's yellow Labrador Cashmere Badgerie Rolf, 183 points, 1; Mrs E. Gates’ yellow Labrador Cashmere Jillana, 171, 2; M. T. Beasley’s golden retriever Duchess of Huntingdon, 167, 3. Puppy Challenge Stakes.—O. Hartley Smith’s English springer spaniel Sandhurst Souvenir, 88 points, 1; W. Streeter’s Labrador Floss, 86. 2; R. Day’s English springer spaniel Selina of Stainforth, 85, 3.
