BREAD PRICES
INCREASE EXPECTED SOON (P.A.) AUCKLAND, October 3. Notification of an authorised increase in the price of bread is expected within the next fortnight, according to a statement made by the president of the Auckland Master Bakers’ Association (Mr A. E. Brownley) to-night. He said it was impossible for bread manufacturers, even on zoned deliveries, to continue without loss in the next 12 months if immediate adjustment was not made in the price of bread to cpver many increases in costs.
