STOCK EXCHANGES BUSINESS WELL SPREAD There was a good volume of business on the Christchurch Stock Exchange yesterday. Business was well spread, and the bulk •of the dealings were in industrials, in which the chief movement was a rise of 2s 6d in Wellington Woollen preference shares. In the coal, gas, and insurance sections sellers were more in evidence than buyers. Price levels wre well maintained.
