OBITUARY
MR F. E. WARD The death occurred recently of Mr Frederick Egmont Ward, se*nior partner in the legal firm of Menteath, Ward, and Evans-Scott, Wellington. Mr Ward, who was the eldest son of the Rev. Charles E. Ward and Mrs Ward, Christchurch, was born at Timaru in 1876. He began his professional career with the firm of Messrs Brown, Skerrett, and Dean, of Wellington, and was admitted to the bar in 1905, and four years later went into partnership with Mr A. S. Menteath, Wellington. In 1921 Mr Ward was appointed a notary public. Mr Ward is'survived by his widow, Mrs Bessie Featherston Ward (nee (Fitzgerald), and by his daughter, Mrs Michael Gresson, of Timaru.
