FRENCH DECISION STILL AWAITED (P.A.) WELLINGTON, Sept. 29. in view of cable advice that South Africa had decided to give priority to 8 1949 tour by the All Blacks, the management committee of the Nev; Zealand Rugby Union decided to-day to endeavour to get an early clarification of the intention of the French Rugby Federation on the invitation to tour Australia and New Zealand in 1948 Mr J Prendeville said the French Rugby constitution was similar to that oi New Zealand, with district meetings followed by a federation meeting. He understood the federation was to meet in the last week of this month. That probably accounted for the delay in the reply
