Bookmaker Warned.—George Lacey, aged 45, roof tiler, pleaded guilty before Mi A. M. Goulding, S.M., at Wellington, to a charge of bookmaking; and was fined £l5O. The police said he had been fined £5O in 1946 on a similar charge. The Magistrate said that if Lacey came before the Court again on a similar charge he could not expect to escape with a fine.—
