SYDENHAM A WINS LEADING DUNEDIN TEAM BEATEN •‘The Press” Special Service DUNEDIN, September 28. In a fast, open game at Logan Park, between the winning teams in the senior hookey comoetitions in Christchurch and Dunedin. Sydenham A beat Albany A by 4 goals to 2. The match was very even. The Sydenham forwards had greater penetration, and were stopped only by the stubborn defence of the Alban v backs. Bedford and Kofoed. and the ‘goal-keeper, Carr Fumbling in the Sydenham goai-mouth by the Albany forwards spoiled many chances. Robertson scored for Albany in the first spell. Sydenham netted three times in the second spell in close succession, the scorers being Robinson, Cumberpatch, and I. Smith. Hocking scored for Sydenham on time, after N. Meng had netted for Albany.
