Followers of form horses did not have a Sood day at the New Brighton Wotting Club's meeting at Addington on Saturday, when several large dividends were returned. In the last race the third horse paid nearly £BO for a J, one die highest place dividends returned at a race meeting in Zealand. Several who have been attending meetings at Addington for many years said yesterday that they did not remember such a high place dividend.

Investors received their i C k m th® h rst race, when the third place dividend was well into double figures, and this was followed, by a similar place dividend on the second horse in the next race. For the whole day only one first tavourite on each machine was first past the post. There was onlv one each-way favourite in a place. In the eight races a total of 138 mimbers was available for investments, and had a bettor backed each for £1 lor a place a profit of £2O Us 6d would have been shown. If a bettor had put £1 each way on each winning horse the return for £l6 would have been £lB5 Ils.
