The Wellington Technical College, at the request of the Education Department, is instituting a Training Course for Commercial Teachers, and INVITES APPLICATIONS FOR ENROLMENT from persons suitably qualified. Applicants should already have had some experience in office or commercial work. 1. Those with good experience in Shorthand and Typewriting will be given instruction in BCok-keeping and Commercial Practice, and, 2. Those with experience in Bookkeeping or Accountancy will be given instruction in Shorthand and Typewriting. All Trainees will be given instruction in teaching method. Male applicants should preferably be between 25 and 30 years of age, and female applicants, between 21 and 30 years. The period of training Will extend over one academic year. During the period, trainees will be paid at. .the following rates: Men. £3ll per annum; Women, £277 per annum. In addition married salary of £5O per annum will be paid to trainees eligible to receive it. Oh completion of the course, it is expected that trainees Will find little difficulty in receiving appointments in post*primßry schools, or in the secondary departments of district high schools.
