The Man in a Helmet. By James Wellard. Eyre and Spottiswoode. 244 pp. This book is reviewed in a leading article in to-day’s issue. An exhibition of books on art was held from May 5 to 30 in Florence, under the auspices of the Institute Librario Italiano. Publishers from other countries were invited to take part. The exhibition, in ’the historic Palazzo del Consolino, was designed to gather as many as possible of the most recent international art publications in order to promote artistic and cultural exchanges between the various countries.
