LORNA LEIGH
JOINT INTERESTS PROPERLY REGISTERED Arising from certain allegations made to a racing official, the Canterbury Jockey Club’s judicial stewards of the last Grand National meeting held an inquiry into the ownership of the mare Lorna Leigh. The stewards, after hearing evidence, adjourned the hearing for further inquiries. After those inquiries they now find that the mare is held on tease by Mr C. It was further found that no person other than the owner, who receives the usual per centage of stakes won, and Mr Holdsworth, has any interest whatever in the ownership or running of Lorna Leigh The mare was scratched for ner engage ment by herj connexions in the Selwyn Handicap on the last day of the meeting before the inquiry by the stewards, and neither Mr Holdsworth nor the trainer J A. Wilson, was aware that any inquiry was contemplated.
