SECOND DRAFT OF IMMIGRANTS
DEPARTURE FROM ENGLAND NEXT WEEK

WELLINGTON, August 29. “The sedond draft of immigrants under the Government’s assisted immigration scheme will leave England m the Atlantis next Tuesday,” said the Minister of Immigration (Mr A. McLagan) to-<jay. The draft 'consists of 51 women and 197 men. The women include 15 nurses. 22 hospital and general domestics. and 14 typists. The men include 90 labourers for heavy industry, 37 for the sawmilling industry, 21 for mining. 31 for engineering and 18 skilled factory workers. In addition to the immigrants 196 New Zealand Boy Scouts will be among the passengers.
