DUNEDIN RABBITSKINS SALE
"The Press” Special Service DUNEDIN, August 26. There was an offering of approximately 64 tons at the fortnightly rabbitskin sale, held to-day. The quality of the skins is rapidly going off, and this was reflected in the small proportion of really good winter skins, which were on offer. Prices were practically on a par with rates at the last sale fbr all winter buck skins, but there was a distinct easing in values for good winter doe skins. Values for spring does and late does were practically on a par with the previous sale. There was again an extreme demand for good winter black skins, which realised the phenomenally high price of 383 d per lb.
Following is a range of prices: small, to 2bjd per lb; first spring bucks, 119 d to 126 d: first spring does, 120 d to 136 d; second spring bucks, 104 d to 113 d; second spring does. 120 d to 129 d; outgoing bucks, 134 d to 138 d; outgoing does. 143 d to 146 d; spotty winter bucks, to 146 d; spotty winter does. 150 d to 158 d; second winter bucks, .168 d to 173 d: second winter does, 219 d to 240 d; first winter bucks, 180 d to 185 d: first winter does, 231 d to 246 d: summers. 76d to E6d; milky does. 66d to 70d, first milkv does. 97£d to 170 d; racks bloodstained. 72d to 73d; autumn bloodstained, 114 d to 116 d: outgoing bucks, bloodstained, 117 d to 120 d; outgoing does. bicGostalned. 128 d to 126 d; second winter bucks, bloodstained. 130 d to 135 d; second winter does, bloodstained. 138 d to 140 d: fri st winter bucks, bloodstained. 140 d to 146 d: first winten does, bloodstained. 160 d to lE5d; third, broken, 72d to 80d; second, broken, U6d to 120 d: first broken. 124 d to 126 d; fourth black, 50d to 51d: third black.
