REPORTS OF DUTCH ATTACKS DENIED
STATEMENT BY MINISTER TO NEW ZEALAND
<P-A.) WELLINGTON, August 26. He was authorised to state with the greatest emphasis that allegations of Dutch attacks in Indonesia were untrue said the Netherlands Minister to New’ Zealand (Dr. van Troostenburg tie Bruyn) to-day. . . “Netherlands troops maintain everywhere the orders given,” he said. “If the Dutch really intended to attack, ‘heir military strength would enable them to advance in the areas under Republican control as far and swiftly as circumstances would require, but the facts are that the Dutch troops are sticking to their positions and limiting their action to repulsing the many Republican attacks and acts of sabotage. Every newspaper reporter and official investigator who is bn the spot will confirm this.” '
