Sewing Machines for China.—lncluded in the shipment of supplies being sent this week to China from New Zealand for the Council of Organisations for Relief Services Overseas are 30 sewing machines urgently needed for the rehabilitation of small industry. The response to an appeal for supplies of medical equipment is not as ready as was hoped. It is sufficient, however, to enable a substantial supply to be included in this week’s shipment.—(P.A.)
