ACCOMMODATION FOR IMMIGRANTS
MANY PREPARED TO LIVE IN TENTS
(P.A.) AUCKLAND, August 25. Accommodation for about 15 passengers who arrived from London by the Rajigitata on Saturday was found today by the Auckland provincial'public relations office. A number of inquirers wanted to leave the hotels in which they had stayed over the weekend and find cheaper accommodation Many of the large number of ihe Rangitata passengers who have caned on the office for assistance and advice said that they knew the housing shortage in New Zealand was serious, and that they came prepared, if necessary Ito live in tents. One wanted to know if he could buy a small piece of land I on which to erect a taut.
