QUEEN ELIZABETH HOSPITAL FOR CHILDREN
Sir, —The Queen Elizabeth Hospital for Children, London, maintained entirely by voluntary contributions, is in a bad financial way and we must help the sick children of Britain to restore them to health. By sending them used stamps, which I clean, sort, and pack in parcels holding about 30,000 stamps, about £4O was realised this year. Two parcels are on the way. I need quantities of used stamps to continue this good work. I have been doing this for 20 years. I appeal to all your readers to bring or send in as many stamps as possible to 12 New Regent street, where I shall pick them up. Thanking ?11 who helped in the past and I am rure will help in the near future.— Yours, etc., E. D. BERNSTEIN. August 20. 1947.
