The majority of these are treated as outpatients and very rarely are double figures reached for admission to the hospital. The average number of cases treated on one Saturday for all sports is 200, the average number for individual sports being as follows:—Rugby football 100; Association football, 20; Rugby League, 30; hockey, 30; basketball, 20; women’s hockey, 4; races, 4. On Saturday afternoons during winter months there are 100 St. John Ambulance members on duty at 28 parks and playing fields in the city area.
