British High Jump Record.—B. Vessie (America) and A. Paterson (Britain) created a new British high jump record of 6ft TJin in the Rangers' sports meeting at Ibrox Park, Glasgow. Vessie won the event because he cleared the height at his first attempt and Paterson at his second attempt.— London, August 2.
