EVENING SOCIAL
A pleasant evening social was held in the Fendalton Hall, Clyde road, where members of the committee of the Fendalton Kindergarten, as hostesses, entertained members of the Hall Committee and parents of children attending the nursery play centre and kindergarten. The social was organised by the secretary (Mrs A. E. Hough). A programme arranged by Mrs G. Ferris included musical items by Miss Dalton’s Merry Mandoliers, an operatic dance by Lorraine Peters, character readings by Mrs Florence Dalton, songs by Miss Ruth Charters and Commander Hicks, and dramatic monologues by Mr G. Ferris. Mrs F. W. Lee, who has recently returned from a tour of the United States, gave a short talk on her experiences abroad. Miss F. Read was presented with a small gift from the kindergarten on the occasion of her promotion to the directorship of the P.edcliffs Kindergarten.
