Sir. —I see that Miss Howard is making available, through social security benefits, aids for the deaf. Could these not be made in more flesh-coloured plastics, whith would not be sow conspicuous as the ugly black at present in use.—Yours, etc., t i PROSPECT. July 15, 1947.
Sir,—The Minister of Health (Miss Mabel Howard) announced that hearing aids would be available about two months ago. Would you say where one has to apply for the aids and give other particulars?—Yours, etc;. , , WAITING. July 20, 1947. [Administrative details in the supply of hearing <hids are proving difficult of completion, it was stated in the office of the Minister of Health, when Ihis letter was referred to it. The Minister expects to make a further statement within a few weeks.]
