ELECTORAL COURT JUDGMENT
£4OO COSTS AWARDED TO MR A. C. BAXTER, M.P. » WELLINGTON, July 29. The full judgment of the Electoral Court on the Raglan petition was issued to-day. It comprises 56 typewritten foolscap pages and awards costs amounting to more than £4OO and witnesses’ expenses in respect of ol 4 successful objections to the respondent (Mr A. C. Baxter, M.P.). On May 14 the Court delivered its finding that Alan Cheyne Baxter was duly returned for the Raglan electorate i b 7 , 13 votes and stated that it would later deliver a judgment in writing with full reasons for its deterimnations. The Court comprised the Ch i e L Ju^ tlc ? (Sir Humphrey O’Leary) and Mr Justice Blair. J udgment iBsu «d to-day sets cut the full reasons and in the case of e& votes on which the members of the Court were unable to agree contain l separate judgments. I These six vat* would not be capable of upsetting th® result. The votes which were disputed by each side in the hearing of the petition had been divided into classes the judgment, and the Court gives fo’ l reasons for its decisions in these classes.
