ORIGINAL M.E.D. AREA ABOVE QUOTA
Power savings in the Municipal Electricity Department’s area on Monday were above the required quota of 10 per cent., the figure being 11.3 per cent For the extended area the saving was 9.6 per cent. There was a slight drop In the level of Lake Coleridge yesterday, the figure being 1664.57 ft compared with 1664.62 ft on Monday. The flow in the Waitaki river was 5050 cusecs, compared with 5100 cusecs on Monday. Fine and clear weather after hard frosts was reported at both stations.
