ADVANCED TRAINING IN BRITAIN
TWO NEW ZEALAND ARMY OFFICERS SELECTED
(P.A.) WELLINGTON, July 28. As part of the policy of sending New Zealand Army officers to England for the higher training that cannot be given in New Zealand, Major B. R. Bullot, of the New Zealand Regiment, and Major J. Burns, have been selected to attend courses in England.
Major Bullot will go to the Joint Services’ Staff College, London, which is for senior staff officers of the Navy, Army, and Air Force. Here they receive advanced training on the interservice level to fit them for the more senior staff appointments. Major Burns will go to the Military College of Science, at Shrivenham, i«ear Swindon, where for the next two years he will study weapon technology. The instruction provides a link between the soldier who uses the gun and the scientist and engineer who design and manufacture it.
Announcing the selection of these officers. Army Headquarters says these courses help to standardise military ‘hought and training throughout the forces of the Empire.
