ENGAGEMENT
Mr and Mrs D. J. Hawke, Maunsell street, Woolston, have pleasure in announcing the engagement of their third daughter, Betsy Jean, to Albert James Pearce, only son of Mr and Mrs E. A. Lowe, Rolleston.
There are now 77 branches of the Mothers’ Union with a membership of 2098 in the Christchurch diocese, according to the annual report of the union. During the year new branches were formed in Arahura. Kensington, and North Brighton, and the West Lyttelton branch reopened. Templeton and Hornby united as the Hornby branch.
