MEDICAL AID FOR INDIES

URGENT DISPATCH FROM MALAYA

(Rec. 11 p m.) SINGAPORE, July 23. It is officially announced that the Netherlands Government has agreed to the urgent dispatch from Malaya by air of medical supplies for the Indonesian Red Cross. The British Government, feeling that the provision of edequate Red Cross supplies for the sick and wounded of both sides is a work of humanity transcending partisanship, relayed to the Netherlands Government a request for supplies broadcast by the head of the Indonesian Red Cross over the Jogjakarta r=dio to the women of Malaya. The Netherlands Government at once agreed in principle to the dispatch of medical supplies by air, and instructed the authorities in Batavia accordingly.
