NOTICE IS GIVEN that under the provisions of Sec. 44 of the "Counties Act, 1920,” and subsequent amendments, the County Electors' Rolls, which will be used in connexion with the forthcoming County General Election and which contain the names and particulars in respect of those Electors in the several Ridings eligible to vote at such Election, are now and will remain open for inspection during office hours, without fee, until the 15th day of August, 1947, at the following places:— County Office, Main North road, Papanui. Under Sec. 45 of the same Act any person may on or before the 22nd Day of August, 1947, lodge with the Council in writing an objection to the County Elector’s Rolls on the grounds:— (a) That any person whose name appears on the said roll in respect of any’ qualification does not possess that qualification at the time when the -objection is lodged, or (b) That any person whose name Is not on the said roll possesses the necessary qualification at the time when the objection is lodged, and is entitled to have his or her name enrolled, or, (c) That the number of votes allotted to any person is greater or less than that to which he or she is entitled.
