Canadian Sculling Championship.
John Kelly, of Philadelphia, winner of the Diamond Sculls at Henley, England, this year, to-day won the championship sculling singles at the Royal Canadian Henley Regatta. Theo Dubois, of Winnipeg, who won the United States sculling championship last week, when Kelly caught a crab and fell from his boat, was second. Kelly thus retained the Canadian championship. He won to-day by two lengths over a 2310 yards course in 7min 44.8 sec July 26. Archbishop of Cyprus Dead.— The death has occurred of Archbishop Leondios of Cyprus. He was 56. Archbishop Leondios, who was enthroned last month, was the first Archbishop of Cyprus for 13 years.—London, July 26.
