Home Guard Service
The announcement by the Minister of Defence (Mr F. Jones) that recognition may be given to the services of the Home Guard during the war recalls the way in which Britain recognised the services of the Home Guard Each member of the Home Guard received a certificate in the form of a letter signed by the King, thanking him for coming to his country's aid in her time of need.
