CONTROL GATES FOR LAKE PUKAKI HYDRO-ELECTRIC WORKS.—Two steel control gates, with guides and fittings, of a total weight of 20 tons, leaving Lyttelton yesterday on the first stage of their journey to Lake Pukaki, The gates were built at the foundry of Andersons, Ltd., Lyttelton, and are being carried on a tank transporter belonging to the Army Department.
