SELWYN RIVER CONTROL SCHEME NOTICE is hereby given that at a Special Meeting of the North Canterbury Catchment Board, held on Friday, the 4th day of July. 1947, a Special Resolution was passed directing that a Separate Rate be levied on all rateable property within that portion of the Board's District covered bv the Selwyn River Control Scheme which area is more particularly shown on the schedule contained in such Resolution and that such rate be made levied and collected by the Ellesmere-Springs Malvern and Selwyn County Councils on ail rateable property within the said area as is contained in the Counties of Ellesmere Springs Malvern and Selwyn respectively and that such rate be for the period from the Ist April 1947 to the 31st March 1948 and be payable in one sum on such dates as shall be fixed by the said County Councils respectively and that such rates be as under: (1) On all such land shown as Class A on the Classification List of the said area a rate of .680 of a penny in the pound. (2) On all such land shown as Class C on the Classification List of the said area a rate of .544 of a penny in the pound. (3) On all such land shown as Class D on the Classification List of the said area a rate of .408 of a penny in the pound. (4) On all such land shown as Class E on the Classification List of the said area a rate of .272 of a penny in the pound. (5) On all such land shown as Class F on the Classification List of the said area a rate of .136 of a penny in the pound. The Special Resolution will be submitted for confirmation at the Ordinary Meeting of the said Board to be held in the Chamber of Commerce Library at the corner of Worcester street and Oxford terrace on Friday, the Ist day of August, 1947, at 10 a.m. as a Special Order. A Plan and Description of the said area over which the said rates will be levied may be inspected at the office of the said Board at the Chamber of Commerce Buildings at the Corner of Worcester street and Oxford terrace.
