N.Z. INSTITUTE OF SECRETARIES

ANNUAL MEETING OF CHAPTER

Membership of the Canterbury Chapter of the New Zealand Institute of Secretaries had increased to more than 100, it was reported at the annual meeting of the chapter last evening. The chapter now comprised 53 fellows, 41 associates, and 10 licentiates. The financial statement showed a credit balance of £6 17s. Thanks were expressed to Mr A. E. G. Lyttle, who did not seek re-elec-tion as the chapter’s representative on the Dominion council of the institute. A colour film of Arthur’s Pass and South Westland, and a film showing gold dredging on the West Coast were shown by Mr W. Frazer, sponsored by the Automobile Association (Canterbury) . Messrs A. L. Burk, F. A. Gilmore, S. F. Marshall, W. H. Amos, W. L. Watson, H. R. Bennington, R. McPherson, G. T. Williams, A. E. G. Lyttle, J. D. Fenn. 2nd E. C. Rawnsley, and Miss*E. R. Thomas were elected to the committee for the coming year. Mr H. R. Bennington was elected to represent the chapter on the Dominion council. Mr C. F. Champion (chairman) had previously received the charter from the retiring chairman, Mr R. McPherson.
