SURGICAL BLOCK AT CASHMERE
need for facilities said TO BE URGENT «Concern that the Department of Health considers that work on the proposed surgical block at the upper sanatorium at Cashmere should not be proceeded with was expressed by the public health committee of the North Canterbury Hospital Board yesterday. The board agreed that there was a great and urgent need for suitable facilities so that thoracic surgery might be carried out under suitable conditions, and decided to make every endeavour to have the proposed unit proceeded with as early as possible.
