Situation: a depression is stationary north of the North Island, and there is an anti-cyclone over the South Island. Forecast to 5 p.m.: light to moderate norsh-easterly winds predominating. Weather fine, temperatures moderate. Further outlook: fair. WEST COAST The forecast for the West Coast of the South Island is:— Light to moderate variable winds. Weather fine, temperatures moderate. Further outlook: cloud gradually increasing. CHRISTCHURCH WEATHER The weather in Christchurch yesterday was again fine and sunny. At 1 o’clock this morning there were a few clouds in the sky.
