A SMALL TURNOVER There was a firm inquiry for a wide range of stocks on the Christchurch Stock Exchange yesterday, but the recorded turnover was small. Goldsbrough Mort rights had buyers offering 10s 2d. but sellers held out for 10s 6d. A parcel ot New Zealand Farmers’ Co-operative 41 per cent, stock, due 1955, changed hands at £lO3 15s, and late offers of £lO3 10s met with no response. New Zealand Refrigerating Company showed an easing tendency with sellers of the fully-paid issue at 38s 9d, and the 10s paid at 19s 3d. Felt and Textiles of Australia eased Is to business at 60s. Broken Hill Proprietary was stronger, with buyers at 51s and sellers at 51s 3d.
