Heenan, the Under-Secre-tary. Mr Heenan’s assistant is Mr C. A. Furlong. Mr W. G. Taylor, of the Post a u Telegraph Department, is in charge of the transport. The public relations officer is Captain C. H. WilliaiP.s - a former member of the staff m ‘The Press” and now attached to *he Prime Minister’s Department, and Miss Manning, of the Internal Affairs Department, is secretary to the organisers. Army Headquarters staff associated with the tour are Captain C. J. H. Davidson, W.O. N. S. Pederand W.O. J. Pye-Smith. The official film photographer is Mr Stanley Wemyss. The party accompanying Lord Montgomery are his chief of staff, Lieuten-ant-Colonel G. S. Cole, and his aide de camp. Major A. G. Burnaby-Atkins. The staff-sergeant is A. A. Wenborn. The Government’s representative is the Minister of Defence (Mr F. Jones) and the Army is represented by MajorGeneral N. W. McD. Weir. Commissioner J. Cummings is personally superintending the police arrangements. which include piloting of the procession and the traffic control. The official cars are being driven by employees of the P. and T. Department and their reliability in maintaining so closely the general rigid timetables has been praised.
