REPORTED DETENTION OF BRITISH OFFICER
DISAPPEARANCE OF ARMS AND AMMUNITION
(Rec. 7 p.m.) RANGOON, July 21. The Rangoon newspapers have reported that the authorities have detained a British officer of the Army Ordnance Depot in Burma for questioning about the reported disappearance of 200 Bren guns and 10,000 rounds of ammunition from the ordinance depot last weejc.
Arrested German Minister.—According to the Frankfurt radio, the former Bavarian Denazification Minister Dr. Alfred Loritz, who was arrested on black-market charges yesterday, had a stroke in prison and has been removed to hospital.—London, July 21.
