Corrigan, who secured a win and a third placing with him in his four starts as a five-year-old in the 1944-45 season. After being transferred to Edwards’ care, Worthy Robert took some time to strike form, and he was unplaced in his five races last season. This term he has improved to record two wins and three minor placings, his record including a half-head win over Quite Right in the Kirkwood Handicap at the Wanganui Trotting Club’s meeting on October 12, and ah easy win over Monitress in the Milson Handicap at the Manawatu Trotting Club’s meeting on April 12. By the imported Wrack, Robert Earl is out of Ivy Pointer, which left winners including Gang Awa and Bide-a-Wee to Peterwah. A Logan Pointer mare, Ivy Pointer is out of Ivy Dean, by Wildwood from the Childe Harold mare, Wild A bold trotter, Worthy Robert should be capable of further improvement and he should continue to pay his way under Young’s guidance. Jottings Dillon View, which is now trained at Oamaru by G. Barr for Mr A. G. Mathias, is a four-year-old mare by Dillon Hall from Santa Brigada. H. Greenhorn has Mickey Rooney well forward, and he should pay expenses with him next season. Razzle has put on a lot of condition since being put out for a spell by D. A. Withers. B. Grice is handling a yearling filly by Nelson Derby from Queen’s Treasure, which left winners in Single Star and Hardy Oak to the same horse. S. T. Webster’s team at Tinwald includes a mare by Logan Fraser from Denver’s Doll, which left winners in Drag Harlan to Nelson Derby, and Lazy Bones to Travis Axworthy. L O. Thomas has Waroonga back in work in his team at Addington. A four-year-old Dillon Hall gelding, Waroonga recorded a win and two fourth placings for T. Thomas this season, and he may reach much better company in the new season. Shapely Filly R. A. Hamilton’s team at Addington includes a nicely moulded filly by Gamble from a smart pacer in Starace, which took a record of 3min 17sec. Starace, which was bred by O. E.
