Dickens Fellowship.—A set of the complete works of Charles Dickens and a number of books on the author were presented to the Christchurch branch of the Dickens Fellowship by Mr S. W. Wilson, who presided at the July meeting of the branch. Mr B. F. Hayman gave a description of the historical background of “A Tale of Two Cities.” and Mr N Stouppe analysed the character of Sydney Carton.
