Several large parties of ski-ers visited Porter’s Pass on Sunday, but they found that last week’s snowfall had left surprisingly little snow on the hills round the pass. Many of the skiers climbed to the upper basin on the slopes of Fog Hill, where they had ; some good sport, although late in the afternoon snow began to fall lightly. It was noticed that large areas of the ice on Lake Lyndon had melted, making skating impossible. The road over the pass was free from snow and many motorists took their cars to the I top.
