PRICES PAID TO GROWERS Prices paid by the markets to growers of fruit and vegetables for the week ended yesterday (as supplied by the Canterbury Stone Fruit and Tomato Growers’ Associaiton) were:—tree tomatoes. Is per lb; red beet, 2s to 3s 6d case of 201 b; cabbage, 2s to 6s a dozen; carrots, ceiling price; cauliflowers, 4s to 16s a dozen; celery, 5s to 18s a dozen bunches; leeks, 4s to 7s .6d a dozen bunches; leetuce, 3s 6d to 6s a dozen; marrows, Id to ljd per lb; parsnips, ceiling price; potatoes, 5s 6d a sugar bag; radish, 2s a dozen bunches: rhubarb. 13s to 22s a dozen bunches; sprouts, 6d to 8d per lb; tomatoes, Is to 2s per lb; tomatoes, hothouse, 2s 6d to 3s per lb; white turnip. Is a dozen bunches; swede, 6s 6d a cwt; pumpkin, 23s 6d per cwt.
