BRITAIN’S FIRST SOLDIER ARRIVES IN AUSTRALIAN CAPITAL.—The Chief of the Imperial General Staff, Field-Marshal Viscount Montgomery, K.G., G.C.B., D.S.O., being welcomed by the Australian Minister for the Army, Mr C. Chambers, on his arrival in Canberra by air last Tuesday. Lord Montgomery will arrive in New Zealand on July 16 and will be in Christchurch on July 22 and 23.
